2 Timothy 3:1-5
King James Version
1 This know also, that "in the last days" perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, "unthankful", unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
The word of God talks about one of the characteristics of men who will exist in the last days "ungrateful men". Have you ever done something to someone and the person never said thank you or appreciate you? Before you tear yourself apart know that God revealed about such manner of men who will live on the face of the earth in the last days.
Before you present a whole new list of requests to God, find time to appreciate all that God did for you. I have seen people who were angry at why God did not give them a pay rise or add another car to the list of the fleet they had. Before you complain take a moment to thank God for that which you think is small. Be grateful always. Let the worshiper in you arise and resist a culture of being ungrateful.
Never compare what God did to someone beside you and think what he did for you is small. This is where bitterness and jealousy stem from. Jesus Christ knew all He had and did came from God and he used to acknowledge God always and thank Him. Let's borrow and carry the same heart Christ had so we please our Father in heaven.
In 2025, be a grateful child of God.
Amen
