Matthew 11:16-17 KJV 16 But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows, 17 And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.
When you are given something you are supposed to give a response. A response is expected whenever a message is conveyed to you. When music is played is ministered there must be a response. We were called and redeemed to worship Him...
Exo 9:1 KJV Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
If God has given an instruction we need to respond and worship Him according to the way he desires..We must worship God according to the pattern He prescribed
Psa 24:3-6 KJV 3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? 4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. 6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
Even as we worship God we have to be holy and clean. Our hearts should be pure. Proverbs 23:7 KJV For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
Proverbs 4:23 KJV Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
You are what your heart is....
Psalm 119:11 KJV Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
"Worship that comes from the heart is life changing" ~ Pst D. Mareyanadzo
"When you worship God from a holy space God's blessing is inevitable" ~ Pst D. Mareyanadzo
1Jn 4:19 KJV We love him, because he first loved us.
Psalm 24:6 KJV This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
We should be a seeking-generation that is always loving, adoring, and gazing at the Lord.
These are some of the generation of worshipers we have in the last days:
1. Copycats - they don't receive or are led by the Spirit. They copy what they see their role models doing and turn it into their own worship. There is only one version of you.
2. Pretenders - pretending will not change your life or even please God. Always do it from the heart
3. Trenders - interested in trending and following the 'in thing'...
4. Fashionists - interested in what I am putting on must be latest
5. Image - interested in their self-image. The image they portray before people interests them more...
6. Accolade - interested in accolades and if not voted for or commented they are offended.
We must ask ourselves if our worship is
- lifechanging
- impacting others
- impacting cities
